At the end of the Empire Strikes Back, we see Luke getting a new fully functional replacement hand. With the iLimb,  thats not science fiction anymore.

Touch Bionics, the creator of the iLimb Ultra Revolution, “the most advanced and versatile prosthesis available,” and says it, “offers more dexterity and moves more like a natural hand than any other powered prosthetic hand.”

The company unveiled the latest enhancements to its i-limb Ultra  at  the OTWorld 2014 International Congress last week, and viewers were amazed to say the least.

The i-limb was launched in 2010 and was the world’s first fully articulating and commercially available bionic hand. The Ultra Revolution followed last year and was showcased by  Dr. Bertolt Meyer, who hosted a  Television program  looking at state-of-the-art artificial limbs, organs, and the integration of blood vessels to sustain the limbs.

We think this is awesome.

Watch the iLimb in action below.
